Part-Time Preschool Teacher (Afternoon Support) – Daycare & Preschool 
Location: The Learning Experience – Gurnee, IL 
Pay: $18 - $19.25 (based on experience) 
Schedule: Part-Time | 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM (flexible)
About The Role The Learning Experience – Gurnee is seeking a dependable Part-Time Teacher to support classrooms during our busy afternoon and closing period. This role helps ensure a smooth, calm end to each child's day while maintaining safe ratios and a welcoming environment for families at pick-up.
This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent afternoon hours in a supportive early childhood setting — perfect for students or those with morning commitments. Additional hours may be available if desired, including occasional opening support.
What You'll Do

  • Support teachers during afternoon activities, transitions, and pick-up routines
  • Help maintain safe classroom ratios across infant, toddler, and preschool rooms
  • Assist with snack, outdoor play, and closing classroom procedures
  • Create a warm, welcoming experience for children and families at pick-up
  • Help maintain clean, organized classrooms at end of day
  • Follow all health, safety, and licensing standards
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
