Pay: $15.15 per hour
Benefits:
New hourly full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.
Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off ("PTO") in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.
Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.
Part-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state guidelines.
All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Refreshment Cart Attendant is responsible for serving/selling beverages and snacks from the cart and provides courteous and rapid service to our guests on the golf course.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) to support the achievement of company goals.
  • Check in with the manager on duty to learn about the day's activities, events, golf course conditions, and specific information about the course needed by the players.
  • Responsible for ensuring that alcoholic beverages are not dispensed to people under the age of 21.
  • Takes payment for beverages and snacks utilizing prescribed cash procedures.
  • Recognizes and resolves guest complaints and concerns.
  • Maintains beverage and snack quality and service standards for location.
  • Performs cart set up and break down procedures; contributes to overall cleanliness and organization of cart, golf course and facilities.
  • Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; maintains effective guest relations
  • Be aware of safety requirements and report unsafe conditions or accidents to supervisor.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Work at a golf course or similar customer service experience preferred.
  • Enjoy the game of golf and have a basic understanding of the importance of guidelines for each group of players to lead to a daily flow for all players.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively with team members and supervisors about job tasks and responsibilities.
  • Desire to contribute to a productive work environment by maintaining a positive attitude with team members and the public.
  • Must be self-motivated, follow direction, and able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, with an ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.
  • Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness is expected.
  • Must be able to pay attention to multiple details and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
  • This position requires a flexible schedule to include weekends.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position works in an outdoor environment. There is regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasional exposure to native wildlife. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, hear, speak clearly and understand the speech of another person, sometimes in a noisy environment. This position is very active and requires standing and walking for most of a work shift, bending, kneeling, driving a golf cart, using hands to fingers to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or push or pull items weighing up to 20 pounds.
Dependable vision is critical to this position, especially close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
