Part Time Web3 information

What is a Part Time Web3 job?

A Part Time Web3 job is a flexible role in the blockchain and decentralized technology space that allows individuals to contribute without committing to full-time hours. These roles can include smart contract development, community management, content creation, and DeFi research. They are ideal for freelancers, students, or professionals looking to gain experience in the Web3 ecosystem while maintaining other commitments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Part Time Web3 position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Web3 professional, you need a solid understanding of blockchain technologies, smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps), and at least basic proficiency in programming languages such as Solidity or JavaScript. Familiarity with tools like Ethereum, Web3.js, MetaMask, and experience with platforms such as GitHub are commonly required, along with relevant certifications in blockchain or Web3 development. Problem-solving, teamwork, and effective remote communication are vital soft skills for collaborating in decentralized and often globally distributed teams. These skills enable you to build innovative solutions, adapt to rapid technology changes, and contribute meaningfully to Web3 projects.

What are some typical responsibilities and challenges in a part-time Web3 position?

In a part-time Web3 role, you may be tasked with developing, testing, or maintaining smart contracts, assisting with dApp front-end or back-end enhancements, and contributing to discussions on decentralized protocol improvements. One common challenge is keeping pace with the rapid evolution of Web3 protocols and tools, which requires continuous learning and adaptability. These roles often involve remote teamwork across different time zones, so clear communication and self-motivation are key to staying aligned with project goals. You’ll often collaborate with blockchain engineers, product managers, and community moderators, making your ability to work independently yet cohesively with others highly valuable.

  • Represent Mantle at industry events, conferences, meetups, and ecosystem gatherings across crypto, AI, and broader financial innovation spaces
  • Engage founders, builders, researchers, and institutional ecosystem participants in-person and convert interactions into meaningful relationships and opportunities
  • Support or co-host small-scale activations such as roundtables, research salons, and community events focused on emerging narratives (e.g. RWA, prediction markets, on-chain macro themes)
  • Act as a bridge between offline ecosystem conversations and Mantle's internal teams by capturing real-time market and narrative signals from the field

3. Ecosystem Growth & Community Building
  • Leverage strong local and digital networks across crypto, AI, and developer ecosystems to expand Mantle's presence in high-signal communities
  • Drive awareness and participation in Mantle's ecosystem through narrative-led engagement across both online and offline channels
  • Support partnership development, introductions, and ecosystem expansion efforts tied to emerging sectors such as RWA, on-chain finance, and prediction markets

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in crypto, Web3, or tech ecosystems (community, research, marketing, or growth roles)
  • Strong understanding of crypto culture and emerging narratives such as RWA, AI, ....
  • Ability to conduct lightweight research and translate insights into clear, well-written content or commentary for crypto-native audiences
  • Comfortable engaging in both online and offline ecosystem environments, including events, meetups, and community gatherings
