Caregiver (Care Professional)
Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate Caregivers (Care Professionals) to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion.
Home Instead refers to their employees as Care Professionals (Care Pros).
Cities include Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Dexter, Chelsea, Saline, Brighton, Howell, Hartland, South Lyon (Livingston County), and more.

Duties of Caregivers (Care Pros) include, but are not limited to:
  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Alzheimer's Care
*No previous experience necessary for the Caregiver (Care Pro) position - skills training provided by Home Instead*
Requirements of Caregivers (Care Pros):
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • Possess a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance
We have a variety of shifts available with competitive pay and bonuses. Starting rate for Caregivers (Care Pros) is anywhere from $16.00 per hour up to $18.00.
We work with employees to meet full time or part time expectations based on availability of hours. Please keep in mind services are provided through Washtenaw and Livingston counties.
