Job description

NOTICE OF VACANT POSITION
PROGRAM SPECIALIST (WAP) - – FAYETTEVILLE, NC
Closing Date: Opened Until Filled
Employment Type: Non-exempt/Hourly (part-time)
Salary: $16-$18 Hourly
Amount of Travel Required: 50%
Schedule: Monday – Friday 10 am – 3 pm, some nights and weekends
OVERVIEW OF GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Coordinate, compiles, and schedules the appointments and screenings of eligible individual and family documents for the WAP Program. Prepares reports, and maintain all pertinent information as it relates to the WAP Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supports Weatherization team by:
  • Assisting with recruiting eligible individuals and families.
  • Schedules appointments, screens for eligibility, assign priorities as indicated in grant. Notifies applicant of reason for denial. Maintains waiting list.
  • Identifies other needs and make appropriate referrals for service.
  • Compiles and maintains documents. Develops complete, accurate and confidential records.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reports on activities. Maintains aggregate demographic data on clients.
  • Terminates files after all services have been rendered.
  • Follows up on applicants.
  • Provides education materials to customers on energy conservation.
  • Issues and compiles results of satisfaction surveys. Follows up on complaints and resolves issues.
  • Answers phone inquiries and in-person questions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s Degree (AA) in Business, Office Technology, or related field with six months to one-year related experience and/or training. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must:
  • Be able to communicate with a wide variety of people.
  • Be computer literate, knowledge of various office software programs and able to learn program specific software within 90 days of hire.
