Job description

ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for part-time instructors (clinical supervision) for the Nursing Education program. Part-time instructors are hired on an as-needed basis. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as part-time teaching assignments become available.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Part-time/adjunct faculty in the Nursing Education program are responsible for teaching the objectives for any course assigned, the assessment of student learning, and reporting of student progress as required by the college and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc.
QUALIFICATIONS :
  1. Meets the minimum instructor requirements for any course assignment
  2. Illinois licensed Registered Nurse, or ability to procure
  3. Master of Science in Nursing degree, or in process of completing
  4. American Heart Association BLS CPR instructor; or equivalent
  5. Two years of nursing experience
  6. Teaching experience, preferred
  7. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers, applicable software, and Internet - dependent on the needs of course delivery.

STARTING SALARY: Salary varies based on educational level and number of units taught.

WORK LOCATION
District-wide responsibilities and clinical supervision. Clinical supervision occurs at the hospital/clinical facility which is generally located within the college's district.
