Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Cafe Attendant is welcoming and taking member and guest orders and delivery of food in a friendly, polite and efficient manner.
Will also serve wine and beer to members and guest.
Summary Of Essential Functions:
Attract and retain members by consistently providing the highest excellent customer service.
Assists guests with any service requests, ensuring the guest is the highest priority and outstanding service is provided which includes; serving in a prompt professional manner ensuring accuracy, quality of items and standards are met.
Process and prepare food/drink orders for all members as required.
Responsible for cash and charge, balancing draw at shift open and close.
Maintains clean work environment which includes; cleaning and stocking necessary supplies during shift.
Completing side duties before and at the end of the shift and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
Current state of AZ Food Handlers Card
Six months of basic food/customer service experience
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Must be flexible to work varied shifts
Must be able to work cooperatively with others
Strong attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills
Back of the House experience strongly preferred
Friendly & energetic with strong verbal communication skills
Must be reliable and punctual
CPR certification within 30 days of hire through Company training
Must be able to successfully pass a background check
Knowledge/Skills Preferred:
Cafe or restaurant experience in high-end health club or country club/resort setting
Required Abilities
Physical Activity
This position requires standing, walking, lifting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling and stooping. Standing for long periods of time. Substantial repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Involved in activities where one must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination in sound.
Physical Requirement
Light to Medium work involving standing most of the time. Walking and bending are required frequently. Frequently exerting 10-20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Occasionally exerting up to 30 pounds of force to move objects.
Visual Requirement
This position requires close visual acuity to determine the cleanliness, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities cleanliness and accuracy of work.
Working Conditions
This position may be subject to typical kitchen hazards. Including a variety of kitchen appliances and tools. Physical conditions include kitchen appliances, kitchen tools and equipment, moving mechanical parts, electrical current, vibrations, wet surfaces and floors. This position has frequent exposure to atmospheric conditions such as high heat, fumes, odors and chemicals. This position is frequently performed in close quarters and kitchen areas.
