Job description

SUMMARY:

The CSC1 assists their manager in the management of the tool supply crib located on the customer’s site.  The main flow of supplies will be facilitated through the use of industrial vending solutions. This individual coordinates customer needs, inventory management, productivity and logistics. The position requires strong customer service, organizational and communication skills. The CSC1 works both independently and with a team and works with a high level of trust. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily communication with the CSC Supervisor regarding short and long-term objectives
  • Daily stocking of automated dispensing equipment, stockroom, and related virtual cribs.
  • Assist APS OPS Tech Support in repairing any down systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment at their customer
  • Communication with customer regarding urgent or unexpected changes in demand and addressing
  • Order entry and quotations in a CSR capacity as availability permits
  • Receiving daily shipments for stock and spot-buys and processing in Prophet 21 and AutoCrib accordingly
  • Performs general daily housekeeping and sanitation of vending equipment, stockroom and related areas
  • Duties related to daily and weekly billing reports as directed by CSC Supervisor
  • Daily cycle counts of on hand inventory maintained in the Tool Crib
  • Provides after hours support, if required (less than 5% of the time)
  • Perform post-counts and correct any discrepancies for items put into tool crib
  • Monitor reports to take action when needed (ex: Expedite Reports, Cycle Counting, ScaleMate Error, etc.)
  • Collect and work with inventory team to resolve and maintain stock levels on the floor and adjust machines
  • Observe all safety policies and procedures of both DGI and Customer facilities; including the dress code and wears Steel Toed Shoes at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reports to the CSC Supervisor

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must successfully complete the full Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP)
  • This is a part-time opportunity with 12 - 20 hours per week
  • Equivalent job-related experience preferred (for example, MRO, AutoCrib, VMI, Inventory Management, tooling)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Mechanically inclined and experience in basic mechanical repairs preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), inventory systems and report generation
  • Professional maturity, integrity, discipline and a positive attitude
  • Basic computer skills and experience using an ERP system a plus
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills required
  • Passionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork oriented
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability
