Occidental Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Veterinary Technician, or Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team. We are hiring for either full-time or part-time, depending on the right candidate.

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and credentials, responsibilities may include:

  • Assist veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and procedures
  • Place IV catheters and monitor anesthesia
  • Perform dental cleanings and obtain quality dental radiographs
  • Prepare patients for surgery and assist during procedures
  • Calculate medication dosages and fluid rates
  • Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized patients
  • Safely restrain patients and assist with diagnostics
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Help keep the hospital clean, organized, and running efficiently
  • Pitch in wherever needed to support the team and our patients

What We're Looking For

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred
  • Experienced Veterinary Technicians and experienced Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to apply
  • Ideally at least 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital
  • Strong technical and patient care skills
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
