Job description

General Summary of Duties: We're looking to add a Radiology Technician to our growing team of medical professionals. Your primary responsibility will be preparing the x-ray room daily for examinations, ensuring equipment is set up and functional, and accurately perform all routine and special radiographs with minimal repeat films. Duties will include but are not limited to completing all necessary paperwork, ensuring all exams are correctly charged, authenticating and dating reports of all examinations performed and making add them to the patient's clinical record. A basic understanding of patient care and medical terminology is a plus.


An associate or bachelor's degree and two years related experience is required for you to be considered as a candidate.


Typical Working Conditions: Full or part-time, inner-city medical office practice. Requires prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
  • Inserting commands and data into computer to document and specify the scan sequences and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.
  • Ensure all radiological equipment is properly sterilized and cleaned for other use.
  • Maintain a list of all regularly used components and report any equipment failure immediately to the Medical Director.

Continuing Education/Competency Requirements:
