Job description

75 YEARS AND STILL MOVING YOU FORWARD. Come join our team. We are hiring seasonal part time Helpers, Packers and Warehousepersons. Season runs July 15 through September 15. Earn $$ MONEY $$ on your summer break. Pay $21.00 hourly PLUS overtime. Minimum age 18. Valid drivers license with Real ID s essential.

SUMMARY: Crew members, hired for seasonalpart time periods only, and assigned work as Helpers, Packers & Warehousepersons. They assist Crew Leaders, Supervisors, Managers, etc. by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

HELPERS

  1. Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck or dolly;
  2. Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment;
  3. Identify to the Crew Leader any pre-existing or existing damaged prior to loading customers household goods;
  4. Delivers and stacks merchandise on customer's premises;
  5. Performs the writing of inventory when necessary;
  6. Assist driver pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles;
  7. Other duties may be assigned.

PACKERS

  1. Assures that a large variety of cartons, paper and accessories necessary in the duties assigned are orderly and neatly placed in the van;
  2. Assumes responsibility for maintaining of both interior and exterior appearance of van;
  3. Sees that all paperwork is both accurate and complete;
  4. Responsible for the safe packing of china, bric-a-brac, paintings, objects of art, books, tools, kitchenware, lamps, clothing, bedding personal possessions and other household goods in a manner to insure safe transportation via any mode;
  5. Performs the writing of inventory when necessary;
  6. Wraps protective material around product;
  7. Weighs containers and adjusts quantity;
  8. Labels and seal cartons;
  9. Inspects materials and containers at each step of packaging process;
  10. Other duties as assigned.

WAREHOUSEPERSONS

  1. May operate banding, staplers, nail-gun and hand tools;
  2. Reads weight sheets and inventory sheet;
  3. Wears protective equipment where required;
  4. Operates pallet jacks;
  5. Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas;
  6. Loads and unload customer owned merchandise and sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets or trailers/trucks according to predetermined sequence;
  7. Marks items with identifying information, scan into management warehouse system (Windfall)
  8. Opens crates, and other containers if authorized;
  9. Other duties may be assigned.
