Job Description

Canwest welcomes reliable candidates with positive can-do attitude to work OUTDOORS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR for the position of Delivery Driver. We call this delivery driver position as "Delivery Associate" to emphasize the need for customer service skills as you will interact with customers in addition to driving. Prior experience is not needed as we provide training. A company Cargo van, fuel card and a mobile device with data are provided to perform your job. You will load packages weighing up to 50 lb from the warehouse at Nisku (south-end of Edmonton), drive to delivery area and deliver them to customers’ doorsteps in Edmonton downtown and other areas in and around Edmonton. The job also involves upkeeping vans including cleaning, washing etc. Candidates must be willing to go through background check.

CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR DELIVERY DRIVER POSITION MUST BE WILLING TO DELIVER IN EDMONTON DOWNTOWN AREA USING AMAZON CARGO VAN. WE EXPECT EMPLOYEES TO DRIVE SAFELY STRICTLY FOLLOWING TRAFFIC RULES AND TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Apply only if you see these qualities in you for a long career with us!

The work of Delivery Driver typically starts at 9:20 am and typically ends between 6 to 8 pm depending on the number of packages. Candidates must be willing to work more hours if required. Schedule might change in future if needed.

Qualifications
  • A Class 5 Driving License
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Must be able to lift and move boxes up to 50 lbs.
  • Previous driving and delivery experience is an asset

Additional Information

$24.50 per hour + 4% Vacation Pay + Discretionary Bonuses.

8 to 10 hours depending on the number of deliveries for the day.

Part time doesn't mean part of the day; you are still required to work from 9:20 am to about 8 pm).

Job location: Edmonton, Nisku and Surrounding areas (Alberta, Canada)
