Patient Guidance Attendant Job, Monday- Friday 1-5p with rotating Saturdays & holidays, Valet

Powers Health is hiring for a part-time patient guidance attendant for valet services Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The Patient Guidance Attendant is required to greet patients and provide legendary guest service and patient care for individuals entering & exiting the entrances. The attendant practices safety standards while parking/retrieving, escorting, transporting, and interacting with guests and visitors, to ensure patient satisfaction.

Patient Guidance Attendant Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Required to greet patients and provide legendary guest service and patient care for individuals entering & exiting the entrances.
  • Practices safety standards while parking/retrieving, escorting, transporting, and interacting with guests and visitors, to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Knowledgeable of the different areas on the property and  understands the importance of getting the patient there on time.
  • Responsible for ensuring that they provide the best possible service while parking vehicles or escorting visitors to their desired locations.
  • Responsible for expediting parking, securing vehicles and maintainig the overall cleanliness of the area as well. 
  • Ensures the area is stocked with wheelchairs and all supplies needed to provide flawless service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to drive manual transmission preferred.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets department requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and has held the driver’s license for one year minimum.
  • Must have valid vehicle insurance
  • Ability to understand instructions and communicate with patients and staff.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write standard English language, comprehend simple instructions and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group settings.
