Position Overview

The Site Inspector II is responsible for conducting physical and observational site inspections to verify the operational status of Medicare and Medicaid providers and suppliers. This role follows strict CMS protocols and requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and compliance with federal standards.

Inspectors conduct both Physical Observation and In-Depth (IDTF) inspections, documenting findings through the FSA mobile application in real time. The position requires frequent fieldwork, adherence to defined service-level agreements (SLAs), and consistent application of CMS-approved procedures.

This role is well suited for law enforcement and healthcare professionals with experience in clinical care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, utilization review, care coordination, health information management, and medical administration, who are skilled in documentation review, regulatory compliance, and on-site observation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site inspections of Medicare and Medicaid provider and supplier locations, verifying operational status per CMS guidelines.
  • Conduct Physical Observation and In-Depth (IDTF) visits as assigned.
  • Confirm business operations through direct observation, document review, and brief interviews with authorized personnel.
  • Capture and upload required documentation, including geo-tagged photographs, into the FSA mobile application in real time.
  • Maintain compliance with CMS protocols, reporting standards, confidentiality requirements, and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Capture required inspection data, geo-tagged photographs, and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with providers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of all site visit findings and ensure timely submission.
  • Participate in required CMS-approved training and maintain ongoing certification.
