Hometown Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Part-Time Staff Pharmacist to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care in a community pharmacy setting. This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, collaborate with healthcare providers, and contribute to innovative pharmacy services that improve health outcomes.
As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a key role in medication therapy management, patient counseling, immunization services, clinical decision-making, and pharmacy operations while working alongside a supportive and experienced team.
What You'll Do
  • Accurately dispense prescription medications and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) and evaluate medication orders for safety, appropriateness, and potential interactions.
  • Provide patient counseling and medication education to support positive health outcomes.
  • Communicate and collaborate with physicians, nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy.
  • Administer immunizations and support clinical pharmacy initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles.
  • Assist with inventory management, controlled substance compliance, and pharmacy quality initiatives.
  • Support, mentor, and collaborate with pharmacy technicians and support staff to promote an efficient and patient-centered workflow.
  • Promote pharmacy services, wellness programs, and proactive healthcare solutions.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Active Wisconsin Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Immunization certification preferred.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and sound professional judgment.
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with PioneerRx or similar pharmacy management systems preferred.
  • Interest in preventative health, wellness, and nutraceuticals is a plus.
