As an Operations Support Specialist, you will execute and provide advice and technical assistance to district and field managers and staff on a wide variety of administrative, financial,and human resources services essential in supporting the operational activities, goals, and mission of USCIS.Qualifications:The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/10/2026.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/10/2026.
GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the majority of the following duties:
  • Providing advice as a subject matter expert on administrative programs relating to financial management and/or human resources.
  • Applying and modifying procedures to address administrative problems and unusual situations.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office-Word, Excel) to prepare reports, briefings and studies on data pertaining to administrative areas (e.g., personnel, human resources, financial).
  • Preparing written communications in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
