About Our Family
We are a warm, dynamic family living in Southwest DC, and we strive to keep our home organized and welcoming. Both parents work from home, and while we deeply value the time we spend with our two children, the demands of our professional lives and the busy rhythm of family life can sometimes leave us feeling a bit stretched. Our household is lively and structured-our twins bring a lot of joy and excitement, and our dog is full of personality (and a little bark!). We're looking for someone who can step in as a trusted partner to help ease the load of our everyday. From managing laundry to keeping our home tidy and running errands, we need someone who can take initiative and truly own these tasks, giving us more space to focus on our work and family time. We love being together as a family, and we truly believe that an organized home allows us to enjoy our time together more fully. Your role will be key in helping maintain that balance.
We also value clarity and communication. We like to operate so that everyone is on the same page, and we appreciate someone who can both follow systems and offer ideas for improvement. Whether it's organizing the pantry, having awareness of our schedules, or handling deliveries, we want someone who can make these daily tasks feel effortless. If you're someone who enjoys making a tangible impact in a family's life, who thrives in a structured environment, and who is looking for a meaningful role in a close-knit home, we'd love to meet you!
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You are organized, proactive, and take pride in creating structure and calm. You are a true self-starter, able to take ownership of tasks from A to Z, and you approach your work with a project manager mentality. You know how to keep the big picture in mind while paying attention to all the small details that make a home run smoothly. Whether it's folding laundry, restocking pantry supplies, or grocery shopping, you take initiative and work with purpose.
We're looking for someone who is tech-savvy and comfortable contributing to our household calendar and apps to keep everything organized. You know how to adapt to a family's rhythm, balancing the household's needs while managing tasks efficiently. You'll be someone who takes direct feedback gracefully, uses it to improve, and always strives to ensure tasks are completed to the highest standard.
You should also be comfortable with both children and pets-though the primary focus of this role will be household management, occasional backup childcare support and pet care are important aspects of the position. Your demeanor will be professional, calm, and approachable, and you'll be able to maintain a balance between getting the work done and creating a positive atmosphere. We are looking for someone who is looking for a long-term role and has a genuine interest in supporting a family that values balance, structure, and clear communication.
