As a Security Officer Part Time Hollywood Studios in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, talent, crew members, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized persons in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned studio facilities, production areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, or maintenance concerns.
• Support a professional environment by providing clear directions, maintaining awareness of scheduled productions and events, and communicating relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Hold a CPR certification, preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
