POSITION SUMMARY

The Kripalu Shop Sales Associate supports the Kripalu Shop team. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling all sales transactions of products in the Kripalu Shop. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills. Being detail orientated with the ability to manage multiple priorities. We are looking for a positive team player who thrives in retail and enjoys a fast-paced environment.

Experience is preferred but not required.

SALARY INFORMATION

Hourly, Non – Exempt role

Min:16.00 dollars – Max: 16.00 Dollars

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

  • Weekend and holiday availability.
  • Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts in alignment with operational needs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Processes sales and handles monetary transactions accurately at the point of sale.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service with warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism.
  • Helps maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shop environment.
  • Supports the resolution of guest concerns with empathy and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Restocks and replenishes merchandise to ensure product availability and visual appeal.
  • Performs café related duties, including but not limited to brewing and grinding coffee.
  • Collaborates with other departments and assists in various areas across Kripalu as needed to support organizational goals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 6 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, kneel, push, pull and twist repeatedly.
  • Proficient use of fine motor skills for handling merchandise and equipment.
  • Strong spatial memory to recall product placement and backstock locations.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highschool Diploma, GED, or valid work permit.
  • Basic math skills and ability to perform cash handle tasks accurately.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, especially in customer service settings.
