Job description

Stoneleigh-Burnham School, an independent girls' boarding and day school for grades 7-12, seeks a Dining Room Attendant, effective immediately, for a part-time school year position.  

The shift is Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (32.5 hours per week).

Located near the Connecticut River in the Pioneer Valley, a short drive from the Five College Consortium (UMass Amherst, Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire, and Amherst College), Stoneleigh-Burnham School attracts students from the local area and around the world. 

Duties and Responsibilites:

- Sets up the dining room and serving stations for breakfast and lunch.

- Assists in preparing food & setting up the cold buffet daily (fruit & yogurt bar at breakfast, salad bar at lunch).

- Ensures smooth service during breakfast and lunch by assisting the cook with keeping the buffets filled.

- Cleans the dining room & serving stations after breakfast. 

- Provides additional assistance in the kitchen or dish room if needed or as time allows.

- Occasionally requested to work different shifts to help with special events (about 5 times a year.)

 - Have good people skills, and a positive attitude.

 - Be able to lift 50 pounds. 

 - Be able to maintain order and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining room.

Compensation:  Starting at $15.50 an hour
