Job description

What you need to know about this position:

  • A member of the Columbus Regional Health Physicians team, OB/GYN Associates of Columbus is a fast-paced practice with 8 providers and averages 80 patients a day.
  • OB/GYN Associates of Columbus treats women throughout all the stages of their life, including prenatal care and postpartum care.
  • Provides health care services, applying sonic energy and Doppler technology to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
  • The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasonic imaging and related procedures.
  •  Exercises professional judgment while incorporating the Standards of Service and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
  • Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Ultrasound testing.
  • This is the level at which the technologist assumes all responsibilities for all categories of ultrasound or vascular lab testing.
  • The base hourly rate for this position is $37.68. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
  • This part-time position would require you to work every Monday and Wednesday, 8:00am-5:00pm, 16 hours per week. 
  • With at least 16 hours per week, this position is benefit eligible. 

What is required for this position:

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum Education: Satisfactory completion of a formal ultrasound training program or equivalent training to meet board eligibility requirements.
  • Maintains CEU in building leadership skills through CRH, AHRA, and other educational opportunities.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required within 6 months of hire. The required CE credits must be maintained in accordance with the accrediting bodies requirements.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
