What is a part time UGC content creator?

A Part Time UGC (User-Generated Content) Content Creator is someone who produces content, such as videos, photos, and reviews, on a part-time basis for brands or platforms. Unlike traditional influencers, UGC creators focus on making authentic content that looks and feels like it was created by everyday users rather than polished advertisements. Brands use UGC creators to build trust and engage their target audiences through relatable and genuine content. Part time roles allow individuals to balance content creation with other jobs or commitments. This job is popular among students, freelancers, or anyone looking to earn extra income by sharing their experiences with products or services.

How do part time UGC content creators typically collaborate with brands and marketing teams?

Part Time UGC Content Creators usually work closely with brand representatives or marketing teams to understand campaign objectives and content guidelines. Communication often happens via email, project management platforms, or direct messaging apps, with creators submitting drafts or ideas for feedback before posting. While the role is flexible and remote, creators must be responsive to deadlines and open to revisions to ensure content aligns with brand messaging. Building strong relationships and maintaining professionalism can also lead to repeat collaborations and long-term partnerships.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time UGC content creator, and why are they important?

To succeed as a Part Time UGC Content Creator, you need strong creative skills in video and photo production, a solid grasp of social media trends, and a portfolio showcasing your work. Familiarity with editing tools like Adobe Premiere, Canva, or CapCut, and an understanding of platform-specific requirements (like TikTok or Instagram) are typically expected. Outstanding communication, adaptability, and the ability to take feedback make individuals stand out in this role. These skills help creators produce authentic, engaging content that resonates with target audiences and meets brand objectives.

Job description

About Us:

The Brooklyn Pizza Company and More brings authentic East Coast flavor right to the Central Coast! Located in the Santa Maria Town Center Mall Food Court, we serve up fresh NY-style pizzas, massive calzones, authentic Philly cheesesteaks, wings, and hot Italian entrées. We are looking for a creative, food-loving Social Media Content Creator to capture the mouthwatering magic of our kitchen and drive local foot traffic to our food court spot.

The Role:

If you know how to film a viral pizza cheese-pull, capture crisp food photography, and turn scroll-stopping short-form videos into paying customers, we want you on our team! In this role, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and posting engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook to showcase our menu, highlight behind-the-scenes prep, and connect with the Santa Maria community.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Content Creation: Capture high-quality food photos and short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) featuring our pizza tosses, sizzlin' grill items, and daily specials.
  • Channel Management: Maintain an active posting schedule across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Community Engagement: Respond to comments, direct messages, and local tags; engage with Santa Maria foodies, influencers, and local community groups.
  • Promotion & Campaigns: Highlight food court promotions, seasonal specials, catering availability, and delivery options (online ordering).
  • On-Site Filming: Visit our Town Center Mall location regularly during peak prep and kitchen hours to shoot fresh content.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Content Portfolio: Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts or creating content for restaurants, food brands, or local businesses (portfolio or social links required).
  • Video & Editing Skills: Proficiency with CapCut, Canva, Instagram Reels, and TikTok editing tools.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Santa Maria area and local Central Coast food culture is a huge plus.
  • Self-Motivated: Able to pitch creative ideas, work independently, and turn menu items into engaging visuals without constant oversight.

Why Join Us?

  • Flexible, part-time hours tailored around your schedule.
  • Competitive pay per hour or per project.
  • Free pizza, wings, and cheesesteaks every time you film on-site!

How to Apply:

Submit your resume along with links to your portfolio, Instagram handle, TikTok account, or sample work!
