What is a contractual UGC content creator?

Contractual UGC (User-Generated Content) Content Creators are individuals hired on a contract basis to produce authentic content—such as photos, videos, reviews, or testimonials—featuring a company's products or services. Unlike traditional influencers, UGC creators focus on delivering relatable, everyday experiences that appeal to target audiences. Their work is often used by brands for marketing campaigns, social media, and advertising to build trust and engagement. Contractual arrangements specify project scope, deliverables, and compensation, providing flexibility for both the creator and the brand.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a contractual UGC content creator?

To thrive as a Contractual UGC Content Creator, you need creativity, strong storytelling abilities, and proficiency in content production, often with a portfolio showcasing previous user-generated content. Familiarity with video editing tools (such as Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut), social media platforms, and basic analytics are typically required. Outstanding communication, adaptability, and the ability to interpret brand guidelines set individuals apart in this role. These skills are crucial for producing engaging, brand-aligned content that resonates with target audiences and meets client expectations.

What are common challenges faced by contractual UGC content creators, and how can they be overcome?

Contractual UGC content creators often face challenges such as adapting quickly to different brand guidelines, managing multiple projects with varying deadlines, and ensuring content maintains authenticity while meeting client expectations. To overcome these, it's helpful to establish clear communication with clients from the outset, maintain an organized workflow using project management tools, and continuously seek feedback to fine-tune content. Building a strong portfolio and staying updated on platform trends also helps creators stand out and deliver high-quality results.

UGC Content Creator

Location: Remote

Hours: M-F, 40 hours per week
Reports to: Creative Strategist

Company Overview

At DREAMLABS, we partner with some of the world's fastest-growing consumer brands, including PepsiCo, SKYLRK, Cuts, Blackcrows, Kenny Flowers, MVMT, Cirkul, BYLT, Gymreapers, Hyer, and Peluva. We combine elite creative strategy, AI-powered workflows, and performance marketing to produce advertising that drives measurable growth. Our team moves fast, holds a high bar for quality, and is obsessed with finding better ways to create winning ads. If you thrive in a high-performance environment where your ideas directly impact client results, you'll fit right in.

We're looking for a full-time Creative Strategist to lead end-to-end creative development for paid social ads across Meta, TikTok, and other paid social channels. You'll own the process from concept to execution—writing scripts, sourcing and directing talent, editing content, and analyzing performance to continuously refine creative strategy. You'll also be responsible for managing each client's monthly UGC production and creative remix deliverables.

Position Overview

We're seeking a creative, self-motivated UGC Content Creator who understands how to make authentic content that performs on paid social.

This is a fully remote, full-time position where you'll create high-converting short-form video ads for leading ecommerce brands across Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other paid social platforms.

You'll work closely with our Creative Strategists to bring concepts to life by filming, editing, and delivering engaging content that feels native to each platform while driving measurable performance.

If you're someone who loves creating content, enjoys being on camera, understands current social trends, and wants your work seen by millions of people, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities
  • Create engaging UGC-style video content for paid social advertising.
  • Film talking-head videos, product demonstrations, testimonials, lifestyle content, and trending social concepts.
  • Edit short-form videos optimized for Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other paid social channels.
  • Execute creative briefs while bringing your own ideas and personality to each project.
  • Produce content across multiple brands and industries while maintaining a high creative standard.
  • Stay current on platform trends, hooks, storytelling techniques, and emerging content styles.
  • Incorporate feedback quickly and iterate based on creative performance.
  • Collaborate with Creative Strategists, editors, and the broader creative team throughout the production process.
  • Maintain organized project files and consistently meet production deadlines.

QualificationsRequired
  • Proven experience creating User-Generated Content (UGC).
  • Comfortable speaking confidently on camera.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Meta creative best practices.
  • Experience filming and editing short-form vertical video.
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Portfolio demonstrating UGC or performance-focused content.
Nice to Have
  • Experience creating content for DTC or ecommerce brands.
  • Previous agency experience.
  • Understanding of paid social advertising and direct-response marketing.
  • Experience using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.
  • Familiarity with creative testing and performance marketing.

Equipment Requirements

Applicants should have access to:

  • A recent iPhone or comparable smartphone capable of filming high-quality video.
  • Reliable internet connection.
  • Clean filming environment.
  • Basic lighting and audio equipment (preferred but not required).

What Success Looks Like

The ideal candidate is someone who can consistently create authentic, engaging content that doesn't feel like an ad—but performs like one.

You're naturally creative, comfortable experimenting with new ideas, receptive to feedback, and excited to continuously improve your craft. You understand that the best-performing ads combine strong storytelling, authenticity, and clear messaging.

Why Join Dreamlabs?
  • Work with some of the fastest-growing consumer brands.
  • Create content viewed by millions of people every month.
  • Collaborate with an experienced team of Creative Strategists, editors, and performance marketers.
  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • Opportunity for rapid growth within one of the fastest-growing creative performance agencies.

If you're passionate about creating content that not only looks great but delivers real business results, we'd love to hear from you. Please include your portfolio, social profiles, or examples of previous UGC work with your application.
