Job description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an OPS Class Checker to monitor class attendance of select student athletes in an identified set of UF courses.

The OPS Class Checker must:

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively track attendance of select student-athletes
  • Act professionally at all times and serve as a positive role model
  • Have the willingness to comply with UAA, NCAA, and UF roles
  • Follow class checking procedures
  • Attend mandatory meetings
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor, colleagues, and other advisors
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of what constitutes a violation of the rules

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED (general education degree)
  • Able to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the University of Florida campus
  • Available to work between the hours of 8am-2pm

Interviews may be conducted prior to the closing date, but no offer of employment will be extended until after the position closes.
