Job description

We are a busy building supply company seeking a dependable Part-Time Box Truck Driver to make deliveries throughout New York City. This position offers the opportunity to become full-time for the right candidate based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a box truck to deliver building materials to job sites and customers throughout NYC.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and communicate delivery updates.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service at delivery locations.
  • Follow all DOT, traffic, and company safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous box truck driving and delivery experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with NYC streets and boroughs is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
