Location:
6210 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, Louisiana 70126 United States of America
Part-Time position-
Afternoon hours: after 1pm and no later than 7pm
Weekend hours: Saturday 7:00am - 7:00pm / Sunday 9:00an - 5:00pm
Scheduled hours may vary from times stated above
Position is a Dual Job position -
U-Box Customer Care rep AND Reservation agent or Customer Service rep. Each position has it's own pay rate that will be discussed at the time of interview.

U-Box Customer Care Driver Responsibilities:
  • Operate a flatbed truck (training provided).
  • Operate an 8000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
  • Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
  • Transport storage containers to and from specified destinations, e.g., customers' homes and businesses - local routes only.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Clean motor vehicle driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Department of Transportation certification
  • Commercial driver's license (CDL)

Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
