TRI COUNTY AREA FCU

TITLE: Teller

REPORTS TO: Branch Manager

JOB TYPE: Part-time or Full-time (non-exempt)

The Position

The Teller is responsible for ensuring that members receive prompt, courteous, and accurate service. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Process member transactions
  • Responsible for cash drawer and cash assigned from the vault
  • Process mail and night drop transactions
  • Actively cross-sell all credit union products and services to existing and potential members
  • Assist members in completing documents and arrangements for payroll deductions, direct deposit and automatic withdrawal, address changes, stop payments and safe deposit boxes 
  • Responsible for maintaining order in the teller area 
  • Strive to attain goals set by management team
  • Attend meetings, conferences, seminars and training courses relating to areas of responsibility, as required
  • Required to have thorough knowledge of the Credit Union’s policies, procedures, programs, products and services as they relate to assigned areas of responsibility
  • Expected to learn current data processing system and general office procedures as well as perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks which may include typing, filing, computer input, answering the telephone and other duties as assigned
  • Will perform job duties in compliance with policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN) and the state of Pennsylvania
Qualifications

The fully qualified candidate will have completed the equivalent of a high school education. Previous experience in a sales or financial environment is preferred. Computer skills are required. Interpersonal skills are necessary for communicating with members and employees. The candidate will be results-oriented and motivated. The candidate is also required to have intermediate mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).

TCAFCU will provide a competitive compensation package comprised of salary based on experience and demonstrated abilities along with incentive. An excellent employee benefit plan is also provided.

NOTE: In terms of an 8 hour workday: “Never” equals less than 1%; “Occasionally” equals 1% - 33%; “Frequently” equals 34% - 66%; “Continuously” equals 67% - 100%.

Thurs 8:45-6:15 (8.5)

Fri alternating 8:45-4:45 or 10:15-6:15 (7.5)
