Job description

We are currently looking for Part-Time English Tutors at our Yorktown location! The position being offered is for our Exam Prep Program as an English SAT/ACT Tutor.
SAT/ACT Tutors Description:
Our students in this program are in 11th-12th grade preparing to take either the SAT or ACT. They will be covering English skills and test strategies. Each student has their own individualized program as well. Every session is a 1:1 setting - no group classes. Candidates for this role must have a background in English or a related field.
The Huntington Tutor Opportunity:
  • There are no lesson plans to write - all programs are pre-planned out & individualized!
  • Flexible, part-time hours – morning, afternoon, evening, and weekends.

  • No experience needed, but must have ELA qualifications.

Compensation: $17-22 per hour (commensurate with experience).
Huntington Teacher Requirements include:
  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Background in English or related field.
  • Must be able to easily commute to our location in Yorktown Heights, NY.

Center Hours (School Year):
  • Monday-Thursday: 2-8:30pm.
  • Friday: 2-8pm.
  • Saturday-Sunday: 9am-5pm.

Center Hours (Summer):
  • Monday-Thursday: 9am-8pm.
  • Friday: 9am-1pm.
  • Saturday-Sunday: 9am-3pm.

*Please note that we do not hire seasonally, as this is a year-round role.
