GEHMS is seeking a part time tutor to improve student achievement by assisting classroom teachers, intervention coordinator and instructional coaches in the planning and implementation of individual and small group instruction in literacy and/or mathematics. This is a grant funded position, effective for the 2025-2026 school year.
Essential Functions
  • Assist and guides students to reinforce academic skills.
  • Use appropriate materials to support teaching, including technology.
  • Work collaboratively with our MTSS/intervention team and Instructional Coach
  • Provide an effective learning environment for every student through well prepared lessons, relevant assignments, clear records of student progress, and support of academic achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student performance and progress through lessons, assignments, and appropriate screening and assessment tools.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records and achievement progress.

Additional Duties
  • Duties may include but are not limited to coverage of essential operational functions such as arrival, dismissal, lunch coverage and substituting as needed.

This is a grant funded position under Title I for the 2026-27 school year.
