Job description:

Divine Care at Home is committed to delivering exceptional care to the Lowcountry community.
We are currently looking for individuals who share our passion for helping others to join us in the tri-county area. Candidates must have a 10-year MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) with no recent tickets or accidents._ Please bring it with you to the interview._

Schedule Requirements:
  • 10-12 hour shifts
  • 3 to 5 shifts per week
  • Flexible schedule - must be available to start as early as 5:00am and end as late as 7:00pm
  • Holidays
  • Part Time Monday – Saturday, with occasional Sundays
Qualifications:
  • 25 years of age and older.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Possess a clean 10 year MVR (Motor Vehicle Background) with no recent tickets or accidents. Must bring in with interview.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check (No arrest record)
  • Ability to pass a DOT Physical
  • Ability to pass a Drug Screen
  • Ability to pass a Defensive Driving Course and PASS Course
  • Ability to maintain hands on CPR/1st/AED Certification
  • Ability to maintain hands on Wheelchair Certification
  • Must possess a cell phone - Android or Iphone .
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Driving experience, preferably as a bus driver or van driver
  • Familiarity with paratransit services, if applicable
  • Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, if required
  • Experience in shuttle driving or delivery driving is a plus
Job Duties and Skills:
  • Safely transport passengers or goods to their destinations in a timely manner
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
  • Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, if applicable
  • Communicate effectively with passengers and address any concerns or questions they may have
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow GPS and use critical thinking to locate addresses.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Punctuality: show up to work on time
  • Prolonged periods of sitting in vehicle
  • Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.
  • Hearing and vision abilities with normal range to drive safely and to observe and communicate with clients.
  • Regular exposure to injuries and illness
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
  • Transporting members to and from doctor’s appointments, treatment centers, hospitals, programs, and pharmacies
  • Operate wheelchair lifts as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies and protocol.
  • Must adhere to all federal, state and agency rules regarding HIPAA
