Job description

We are a well-funded biotech company that is redefining drug discovery and development through our fully integrated platform. We combine ultra-high-throughput microfluidics driven functional screening, computational engineering, and translational immunology into a unified engine. Rather than approaching drug development as a series of disconnected steps, we seamlessly integrate the discovery of novel targets, functional screening of binders, computational optimization, and predictive safety assessment to develop more better and safer therapeutics. This end-to-end approach enables faster iteration, deeper biological insight, and the development of better drugs with greater precision and confidence.
We are looking for a part-time laboratory technician to join our interdisciplinary team. The primary responsibility of this position will be to assist with the fabrication and testing of microfluidic devices, as well as general maintenance and upkeep of our lab. The successful candidate will work closely with our research team to support ongoing projects and ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and fabrication of microfluidic devices using techniques such as photolithography, soft lithography, and other relevant methods.
  • Prepare and maintain cleanroom and BSL-2 environments, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals and materials.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results.
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop and optimize fabrication protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with microfabrication techniques and cleanroom protocols is required (academic experience will suffice).
  • Familiarity with microfluidic device fabrication is required.
  • Experience with injection molding and solvent bonding is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Type: Part-time position, approximately 10-15 hours per week split between 2-3 days. Schedule to be determined based on mutual agreement.
Company Culture: Collaboration, Ownership and Authenticity.
At Shennon Bio, we are dedicated to advancing immunology research and making a positive impact on healthcare. If you are a results-oriented operations professional with a passion for innovation, we encourage you to apply and join our dynamic team.
