Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. General Cleaning & Sanitization
  • Wipe down and disinfect gym equipment, weights, and machines.
  • Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles, railings, countertops).
  • Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas, including workout spaces, lobby, and offices.
  • Clean areas as assigned by supervisor, including monthly deep cleaning duties.
  1. Restroom Maintenance
  • Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, mirrors, and showers.
  • Refill soap dispensers, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Ensure restrooms remain tidy and free of trash.
  1. Facility Upkeep
  • Dust and wipe down windows, mirrors, and surfaces.
  • Ensure cleaning supplies and janitorial closet remain stocked and tidy
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to management.
  1. Compliance & Safety
  • Follow all safety guidelines for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Adhere to gym policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks meet health and safety standards.

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness to create a welcoming and safe environment for members.
  • Work independently while managing time effectively to complete tasks.
  • Be reliable and punctual for scheduled shifts.
  • Have a positive attitude and be professional when interacting with members and staff.
  • Follow confidentiality and security protocols regarding gym operations and member privacy.

  • Work independently while managing time effectively to complete tasks.
  • Be reliable and punctual for scheduled shifts.
  • Have a positive attitude and be professional when interacting with members and staff.
  • Follow confidentiality and security protocols regarding gym operations and member privacy.

Physical Demands:
A cleaner spends much of the day on their feet.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Position:
This is a part-time, hourly position.
Business days are Monday through Friday.
Evenings and Saturdays may be required based on the needs of the club.
Flexible schedule arrangements may be available upon request.
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR, First Aid and AED certified preferred, but not required
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
