Job description

Vertis Therapy is looking for a dedicated Part Time or PRN Physical Therapist Assistant for our beautiful Assisted Living facility in Ft Wayne, IN. Vertis Therapy is a therapist owned company that provide ongoing support and training to our staff while focusing on quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Treatment: Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve safety, functional mobility, strength, and independence.
Documentation: Complete timely and accurate documentation.
Collaboration: Communicate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress, response to treatment, and any changes in functional status or needs.
Professional Development: Participate or lead team development meetings.
Wellness Programming: Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license or license eligibility.
Skills: Proficient in implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
