Car Driver - Part-Time
Buena Vista City Public Schools is seeking a dependable and safety-minded Car Driver to assist with the transportation of students to and from school, educational programs, and other approved locations.
Responsibilities
  • Safely transport students using a school division vehicle.
  • Follow assigned routes, schedules, and transportation instructions.
  • Maintain appropriate student supervision and ensure students follow safety procedures.
  • Conduct basic vehicle safety checks before and after trips.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle.
  • Report any vehicle concerns, accidents, or student-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional conduct when working with students, families, and staff.
  • Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and any other drug/alcohol testing required by BVCPS.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and transportation personnel.
