Data Entry Specialist
Program/Location: New Bedford Outpatient START Program / New Bedford
Education/Licensure: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Pay Range: $21 - $25 per hour (Education & experience dependent)

About Us
The Stimulant Treatment and Recovery Team (START) is an outpatient program at High Point Treatment Center for people wanting to change their use of stimulant substances. It is a multidisciplinary team consisting of providers from a behavioral health, case management and medical care services.
High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Our goal is to help individuals and families achieve personal change and improve their quality of life.
Data Entry Specialist Qualifications
  • Experience working in a healthcare related field preferred;
  • Experience creating detailed reports and presenting information in a clear, concise manner;
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills;
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.

Data Entry Specialist Duties & Responsibilities
  • Entering EHR data into SOR;
  • Running EHR reports to identify data to be entered into SOR;
  • Clarifying any discrepancies in EHR report and SOR;
  • Conduct audits of EHR and other START tracking forms to ensure accurate documentation;
  • Conduct audits related to contingency management and tracking of gift cards and prizes;
  • Identify opportunities for improvement based on data and performance specifications;
  • Attend meetings as assigned;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Project Director.

Billing Clerk Requirements
  • Must present as courteous and professional at all times.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion.
  • Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner.
  • An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues.
