Description

Position Summary


The Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data connections between SPSCC's core software systems, including fundraising, financial, HR, and school administration platforms. This role also provides audio/visual (AV) production support for chapel service broadcasts and school-related media ("Moody") events, and dedicates approximately one-quarter (25%) of its time to part-time technology instruction for students. This position works closely with the Administrative Services and department leads to translate operational and instructional needs into reliable technical solutions.


Key Responsibilities - Systems Integration (approx. 50%)


 Design, develop, and maintain API integrations between systems such as NetSuite, Raiser's Edge NXT, Giving Fuel, One Cause, Paylocity, FACTS/Renweb, and SchoolPass


  •  Build and maintain automated data sync workflows using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, custom scripts, or   middleware platforms
  •  Monitor integrations for errors, data discrepancies, or failures, and resolve issues promptly
  •  Document integration architecture, data mapping, and workflows for institutional continuity
  •  Partner with finance, development, HR, and academic teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements
  •  Implement data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy across platforms (e.g., donor records, financial transactions, enrollment/attendance data)
  •  Support data security and privacy best practices, including compliance with child-safety and data protection standards
  •  Evaluate new tools and vendor APIs as SPSCC's systems evolve
  •  Manage relationships with external contract developers or vendors supporting integration work

Key Responsibilities - AV & Media Support (approx. 25%)

  •  Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio/visual equipment for weekly chapel service broadcasts, including live streaming, audio mixing, and camera operation
  •  Provide AV p
    roduction support for school-related Moody events, including staging, sound, lighting, and live or recorded video capture
  •  Maintain and perform routine upkeep of AV equipment (microphones, mixers, cameras, streaming encoders, projectors, and related hardware)
  •  Coordinate with Community Services and academic staff to schedule and prepare AV needs in advance of chapel and school events
  •  Troubleshoot live production issues in real time to minimize service or event disruption
  •  Archive and manage recordings of chapel services and events for internal use and distribution


Key Responsibilities - Technology Instruction (approx. 25%)

  •  Serve as a part-time technology instructor, delivering age-appropriate technology/digital literacy lessons to students
  •  Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with school academic standards and curriculum goals
  •  Assess student progress and provide feedback consistent with school academic policies
  •  Maintain classroom technology (computers, tablets, software) used for instruction
  •  Collaborate with the Principal/Chief Academic Officer and teaching staff to integrate technology instruction with broader   classroom learning objectives
  •  Model safe, responsible technology use for students, consistent with SPSCC's child-safety standards

Requirements

Required Qualifications


 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Education, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)


 3+ years of experience building and maintaining API integrations (REST/SOAP), ETL processes, or middleware solutions


 Experience with at least one major CRM/ERP/fundraising platform (e.g., NetSuite, Raiser's Edge/Blackbaud, Salesforce)


 Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation and data transformation


 Hands-on experience with live AV production and/or streaming equipment (audio mixers, cameras, encoders, streaming platforms)


 Comfort teaching or presenting technology concepts to school-age students, or a demonstrated aptitude for instruction


 Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, especially Power Automate, Power BI, or SharePoint


 Strong understanding of data structures, JSON/XML, authentication protocols (OAuth), and webhooks


 Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot both technical integrations and live AV issues independently


 Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical processes and instructing students
