Schedule: Part time | 16 hours/week | 6:30am-3pm | Weekend & Holiday Rotation, Required | No Scheduling Mandation
Shift Premiums: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm $1.00 | 10:31 pm - 7:00 am $0.75 | Weekend (Fri 10:31 pm - Sun 11:00 pm) $1.00

What You'll Do in This Role:
As a Medication Technician, you'll play a vital role in providing essential daily care to older adults, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and comfort. If you thrive in a supportive, team-oriented environment and love building connections with residents, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Medications & Treatments - Pass medications and provide treatments safely according to care plans.
  • Provide Hands-On Care - Assist residents with personal care (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support Mealtime - Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for overall health.
  • Promote Mobility - Assist with turning, positioning, and safe transfers to keep residents moving safely.
  • Perform Vital Checks - Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
  • Maintain Comfort & Care - Keep residents' rooms tidy, cozy, and stocked with essentials.
  • Respond to Resident Needs - Answer call lights promptly and provide compassionate support.
  • Monitor Resident Conditions - Report any changes to the leadership team immediately.
  • Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism - Maintain confidentiality while delivering high-quality care.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical assisting or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, especially working with seniors or in long-term care, is highly preferred.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds independently.
  • Technical skills: Familiarity with Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) systems is a plus.
  • Medication administration: At least one year of experience administering medications in a healthcare setting is preferred.
