Job Requirements

JOB SUMMARY: Under administrative direction, obtain polysomnograhic studies with a maximum understanding of the patient's pathological condition and physical characteristics to optimize the study for polysomnographic testing with and without CPAP titration, Multiple Sleep Latency Tests and Maintenance of Wakefulness testing. Provides appropriate clinical and technical information to the physician to facilitate accurate interpretation. The patient population will range from adolescent to geriatric.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an approved Polysomnographic Course. Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or eligible for registry. BLS certification required. Must possess Maryland Board of Physicians Polysomnographic Technologist license.

Work Orientation & Experience: Prior experience in the field of Polysomnography with experience in all types of testing PSG, CPAP, MSLT, and MWT. Any combination of experience and training which provides the requisite skills, knowledge, and ability will be considered.
