Job description

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Part-Time IT Manager to oversee IT operations, manage MSP/vendor relationships, supervise support staff, and help improve accountability, efficiency, and security across the organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can balance technical oversight with operational management and customer service. 20-25 hours

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee IT operations, support activities, and escalations
  • Supervise and support the Full time IT Support Technician. Delegate and also lead by example.
  • Manage relationships with MSPs, vendors, and technology partners
  • Provide coverage and operational support during staff absences when needed
  • Monitor ticketing systems and ensure timely issue resolution
  • Create and improve systems for accountability, workflow efficiency, documentation, quoting, invoicing, and operational procedures
  • Maintain strong communication and customer service with staff and clients
  • Assist with budgeting, reporting, technology planning, and process improvements including administrative processes
  • Maintain and enforce IT security standards, policies, and best practices
  • Lead with a calm, professional, solutions-oriented approach in fast-paced or time-sensitive situations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in IT management, operations, or MSP environments
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, security frameworks, and systems protocols
  • Experience managing escalations, customer relationships, and operational workflows
  • Ability to create structure, accountability, and scalable processes within a growing environment
  • Strong communication, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with ticketing systems, Microsoft environments, documentation platforms, CRM/PSA tools, or project management systems preferred
