Responsibilities typically include posting job ads, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers. Part time talent acquisition professionals may work in-house for a company or with a staffing agency, and are often sought after by organizations with fluctuating hiring needs or limited budgets. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as knowledge of recruitment best practices.

Job description

Paradigm Information Services is seeking a Talent Acquisition Associate to join our recruiting team and help us identify great candidates for a wide variety of positions.

This is a position with flexible hours. We are open to candidates interested in either part-time or full-time hours and can provide flexibility in establishing a regular work schedule.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the detective work of recruiting: researching the market, finding people others may overlook, and figuring out the best way to reach them. You’ll work closely with our recruiters to understand what makes a candidate a strong fit and use tools such as Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, our Applicant Tracking System, and other resources to find and engage prospective candidates.

Just as importantly, this is an opportunity to grow with Paradigm and help Paradigm grow. We are a small, established staffing company where individual contributions matter. For someone who demonstrates initiative and ability, this position can expand beyond sourcing into recruiting and other responsibilities as our company grows.

Pay: $20-$25/hour
Location: Remote, PST preferred
Type: Contract-to-permanent; flexible part-time or full-time hours
Job No.: Para_1495

As a Talent Acquisition Associate, you will:
  • Develop and execute searches to identify qualified candidates for current and anticipated openings.
  • Research and engage passive candidates who may not be actively looking for a new position.
  • Work closely with recruiters to understand each position, its requirements, and what distinguishes a strong candidate.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for frequently recruited and difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Use Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), job boards, and other sourcing tools to identify prospective candidates.
  • Draft and edit job descriptions and job postings.
  • Post new positions to appropriate job boards and ensure postings remain accurate and current.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and job information in our ATS.
  • Communicate with candidates and assist with scheduling interviews and other recruiting activities.
  • Monitor client Vendor Management Systems (VMS) for new opportunities and changes to existing openings.
  • Submit qualified candidates through client VMS platforms and maintain accurate submission information.
  • As you gain experience with Paradigm, take on additional recruiting responsibilities, including resume review, candidate screening, phone interviews, and candidate management.

Requirements
What we’re looking for:

  • Some prior experience in sourcing, recruiting, staffing, or a closely related field.
  • Strong internet research skills and the persistence to find qualified candidates who may not be easy to locate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with careful attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow through without constant supervision.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with recruiters and other members of the Paradigm team.
  • Comfort learning and using recruiting technology and online research tools.
  • Good judgment, professionalism, curiosity, and a genuine interest in people.
Preferred Experience:

  • Experience sourcing or recruiting for a staffing agency.
  • Experience with Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar sourcing platforms.
  • Experience using an ATS.
  • Experience identifying and approaching passive candidates.
  • Experience working with Vendor Management Systems.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Benefits
Upon conversion to a regular salaried position, employees are eligible for Paradigm’s comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, and sick leave.

About Us, Paradigm

Paradigm Information Services is an established staffing company that has been connecting talented people with great opportunities for more than 25 years. We work with clients across a variety of industries and positions, giving our recruiting team the opportunity to work on interesting and sometimes challenging searches.
We are also a relatively small company, and we think that creates an opportunity that can be difficult to find in a larger organization. Good ideas get heard, individual contributions are visible, and people who demonstrate ability and initiative can take on greater responsibility.

We are looking for someone who wants to do more than fill a narrowly defined position. We want someone who will become part of our team, help us improve the way we recruit, and grow professionally while helping Paradigm grow.
