About the Role:
As a Landscape Associate, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor environments across residential, commercial, and public spaces. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the natural beauty and usability of landscapes, ensuring they meet client expectations and environmental standards. You will collaborate closely with landscape designers, project managers, and clients to implement planting plans, install hardscape features, and maintain healthy plant life. This position requires a strong understanding of horticulture, landscape construction techniques, and sustainable practices to deliver high-quality results. Ultimately, your efforts will help foster vibrant, sustainable outdoor spaces that improve community well-being and property value.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of horticulture and landscape maintenance practices.
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in landscaping, horticulture, or related field.
- Experience operating landscaping machinery such as mowers, trimmers, and small excavators.
- Familiarity with irrigation system installation and repair.
- Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices and native plant species.
- First aid and safety training certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of landscape features including planting, mulching, irrigation systems, and hardscape elements such as patios and walkways.
- Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control to ensure healthy plant growth and attractive appearance.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret landscape plans and execute projects according to design specifications and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently to support daily tasks and project completion.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients to report progress, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with landscape services.
