Job description

Job Summary
A Student Nurse Externship designed for the student who is currently enrolled in a Nursing Program and is interested in gaining valuable clinical experience and the opportunity to enhance previously learned skills while working under the guidance of an experienced registered nurse. The student nurse extern will partner with an experienced registered nurse to develop critical thinking skills, hone technical skills and learn how to prioritize care. The Student Nurse Externship is offered at the end of Year Two of the Nursing Program and will increase the students' exposure to clinical nursing. The concepts of nursing, the professional image and the socialization and transitioning into professional practice are enhanced through continued clinical exposure. Students must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed their first year clinical.
