Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Stocker will shelve product as it arrives and is received, as well as maintain overstock.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Shelves product as it arrives.
  • Maintains overstock and keeps area organized.
  • Rotates, straightens, pulls forward and organizes products as you go along.
  • Assists with carry outs and customer needs.
  • Checks dates of product to be sure it is fresh.
  • Trains new stockers.
  • Cleans and organizes warehouse space.
  • Takes out trash, recycles and performs any closing duties assigned.
  • Assists with cashier and barista duties as needed.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
  • Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at one time.
  • The ability to move freely around your workspace.
  • Sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, crawling, and climbing may be necessary physical requirements for this position.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
  • Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
