Job description

As a Banquet Set Up Associate at The Pfister Hotel, you will play a vital role in preparing and maintaining banquet rooms for events. You'll ensure that all spaces are set up according to guest specifications and The Pfister's high standards of quality, while working closely with your team to provide seamless service.

Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel has been a Milwaukee icon for nearly 130 years. Recognized for its grand tradition of gracious service and timeless style, The Pfister has proudly held the AAA Four Diamond designation for 46 consecutive years-one of only 11 properties in North America to do so since the program's inception in 1976.

What You'll Be Doing:

       Maintain banquet facilities by cleaning and vacuuming all banquet areas.

       Set up banquet rooms according to contracts and guest specifications.

       Provide service to customers as required by banquet contracts.

       Perform breakdown of function rooms after events.

       Maintain cleanliness and organization of setup areas, including closets, parking ramp (6A), and coatroom.

       Organize, control, and restock linen rooms and supplies.

       Monitor and maintain banquet equipment and storage inventory.

       Work collaboratively as part of the banquet setup team.

       Inform the Banquet Manager of damaged equipment or maintenance needs.

       Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

       Prior hospitality experience preferred.

       Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and move heavy equipment (tables, chairs, carts, staging, etc.).

       Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

       Availability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

       Ability to bend, kneel, push, and pull for tasks such as dance floor setup.

       Basic English skills to understand instructions and interact with guests.

       Ability to safely handle products and follow labeling instructions.

       Must adhere to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, with the option to obtain union membership after 90 days.
