Job description

Bartender / Lead Bartender — Stadium Brew Co
Location: Stadium Brew Co Job Type: Part-Time Compensation: $18.00/hour + tips
About Us
Stadium Brew Co is a (one of, if not the oldest original location) craft brewery and restaurant in Orange County, built on great beer, great food, and a great guest experience. We're looking for an experienced bartender - with the chops to step into a lead role, ideally - to anchor our bar & help set the pace behind the rail.
The Role
Ideally, this is a combined Bartender / Lead Bartender position. You'll pour and craft drinks at a high level, deliver standout hospitality, and bring the kind of bar leadership that keeps a shift running smoothly. Strong candidates are equally comfortable working a busy bar and helping guide the team during a shift as a shift lead.
We're losing a lead bartender who has been with us for over a decade. Tragic, but their side business is taking off (we're stoked for them!) and we need to replace with an affable, high-volume-capable bartender. We generally don't have much if any turnover here at the bar especially, which we think speaks volumes toward the benefits of working here as well as the money you're able to make!
We have a relatively large menu, lots of sq footage, but lots of money to be made. If you're up to it, we'd love to meet!
What You'll Do
  • Prepare and serve beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and consistently
  • Deliver friendly, professional service that keeps guests coming back - and keeps good rapport with our regulars!
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar
  • Verify legal drinking age and serve alcohol responsibly at all times
  • Support shift-lead responsibilities such as opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and keeping the team on track during service
  • Help train and support fellow bartenders and barbacks as needed
  • Follow all health, safety, and alcohol-service standards
  • Be able handle the rare (but non unheard) of difficult customer with grace. Management supports our staff - if someone is rude/inappropriate/a repeated issue, we have no problem 86'ing them. Staff always comes first here. Mgmt will typically handle these but things happen
What We're Looking For
  • 2–3+ years of bartending experience (high-volume bar or restaurant STRONGLY preferred)
  • Shift lead experience strongly preferred
  • Solid knowledge of beer, cocktails, and standard drink builds. We have 60 beers on tap and roughly 2/3 rotate with some regularity
  • Ability to stay calm, organized, and positive during busy service
  • Strong communication and team-first attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Requirements
  • Must currently hold a valid California RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification
  • Must currently hold a valid California Food Handler card
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must be available to work holidays
  • Availability for 2–4+ shifts per week, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to ~40 lbs
Compensation
  • $18.00 per hour, plus tips. Hard to gauge average but bartenders can walk with anywhere from $250-400+ on busy shifts. Just want to be transparent on expectations!
