*Seeking School RN/LPN

Job Description for school RN/LPN:

Interim of Oakland County seeks a responsible Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical (LPN) to accept assignment at our contracted school districts for nursing services as required for students in General and Special Education.  Pediatric experience is requested. 

The position is part-time/contingent.  The candidate will be working only on District open days.  There are no weekend or Holiday requirements.  The candidate will be working with a School Nurse Program Supervisor for setting schedules and duties as required.

The School Nurse candidate responsibilities include:

  • Supports student(s) needs as described in the medical and medication management plan according to physician and parent. 
  • Supports student(s) ADLs and IADLs with support from Para-educator as assigned.
  • May consult with Parent as required by Principal and/or Teacher for specific additions/deletions/changes necessary for the medical and medication plan
  • Collaborates with staff as requested for student safety issues

Applicant Requirements for school RN/LPN/LVN:

  • Active nursing license for specific discipline
  • Proof of education level
  • Flexible in assignment and location
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally and in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff
  • Employment documentation; TB test, Current CPR, License, etc.
