The Higher Education Assistance Group, Inc. (HEAG) is actively seeking talented System Analysts to join our consulting roster. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience as both a Director of Financial Aid, and a Systems Administrator for one of the following Financial Aid Management systems: Ellucian Banner or Colleague, PowerFAIDS, PeopleSoft, Workday, Jenzabar or JFA. Consultants may be assigned to internal training projects or external client work. Assignments may be long or short term, full or part time. Most assignments will be remote, but priority will be given to candidates who can travel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:In-depth understanding of at least one of the Financial Aid Management Systems to include:FA System programming, data analysis, testing, workflow, reporting, data integration, and all system level processes related to file imports and exports, student communications, awarding, verification, SAP, disbursement, withdrawal, R2T4 and reconciliation processes.Knowledge of common integration, imaging, CRM, and/or reporting tools such as Informer, Argos, SQL, Web Focus, Blackbaud, Slate, Salesforce, Campus Logic, or similar toolsFederal and state regulations COD system workflow, files, reports and processesED Express system workflow, files, reports and processesNSLDS system workflow, files, reports and processes ED ConnectBatch transactionsData analysis capabilitiesAbility to analyze testing outcomes to determine additional programming needsAbility to identify chronological order of transactions and functionsAbility to identify compliance risks and develop action plans for resolutionAbility to effectively communicate needs and changes to clientProblem solving skillsUnderstand how to build, execute and analyze data and transactions Ability to identify and catalog any discrepancies that result from data researchCommunicate needs and timeline for resolution of errorsStrong organizational skillsTrack/log all programming changes, testing outcomes and resolutionsIdentify and catalog any potential audit/compliance risksAbility to effectively multi-task and meet establish deadlinesStrong communication skillsDemonstrated ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical staffAsk questions, document and communicate answersDocument and share work performed and work still requiredEffectively communicate with project management team regularly, or as definedLearning and Training Ability to teach people at all different skill levels Comfortable with public speaking and presentingA lifelong learner who seeks to constantly improve their skillset and knowledge base The Higher Education Assistance Group, Inc.
