Job description

Position Title:

Student Worker - Athletics Sports Information (Work-Study)

Job Description:

A student worker employee for the Sports Information Office is a representative of the office both in the office and on campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the sports information in a variety of fields, including but not limited to press releases, statistics, photography, creative content, and video board operations.
  • Help on gamedays with recording, calling, and generating stats for certain sports.
  • Running music and scoreboard for selected athletic events.
  • Capturing, editing, and posting photos and video clips through the department's content channels - archival, digital, and social
  • Generate graphic for athletic events and various announcements.
  • Help with video board operations at basketball through motion graphic director, camera operations, and technical directing.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Salary and Hours

  • Students are paid the current minimum wage for Maryland.
  • Students will work a total of eight (8) hours per week.
