The Aesthetician is responsible for upholding "value added" reputation by providing impeccable service to all of our Resort Spa Guests. Aesthetician's are technically trained to a superior level and are exceptionally sensitive to guest needs treating all Resort Spa Guests and members and all fellow Team Members with dignity and respect and works to continually to improve our spa system of service and quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform all facial, cosmetic and hair removal services
  • Stock supplies and maintain cleanliness of department
  • Complete daily paperwork as needed
  • Promote the Spa and Fitness Center
  • Offer, Promote and Recommend products for customers to use at home and future treatments

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
  • Must effectively read, write and understand English.
  • Must be able to perform mathematical and statistical calculations.
  • Ability to perform facial manipulations and extractions, cosmetic application, and hair removal. All of which may include heavy manual dexterity, reaching bending, standing and sitting for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry 20 pounds of linens up.
  • Must be able to make quick and accurate decisions
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow directions and perform job functions under limited supervision.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and to collect accurate information and to resolve problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts. Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EXPERIENCE
Guest Service and previous experience at a Resort or Day Spa preferred.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Arizona State Board Cosmetology License.
