Job Purpose: To be exposed to the worldwide administration of the Sony Music Publishing Pop, Latin, Hip-Hop, and R&B catalogs. Administration of these catalogs includes processing song deliveries, liaising with income sources, song data maintenance, and copyright registrations.

What You'll Do:

  • Shadow team members to learn about different roles in Copyright Administration and other music publishing administration roles and functions

  • Research, prepare, and file Copyright Registrations with the U.S. Copyright Office

  • Update records in SMP's database

  • Scan, upload, and index various documents into cloud-based document retention system

  • Assist team members with various tasks and projects

  • Participate in the inclusive employee culture at SMP

Who You Are:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university

  • An interest in Music Publishing Administration preferred

  • Passionate about the music and entertainment business, and have a desire to build a career in the industry

  • You are hungry to learn and grow. You are curious, ask questions and get excited about new projects

  • Enthusiastic collaborator with a professional and positive attitude

  • An organized person that pays close attention to the details

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
